"Apu Ollantay": Inca theatre as an example of the modes of interaction between the incas and western amazonian societies

" The article looks closely at the Quechua play “Apu Ollantay” in order to better understand the relationships of power that the Incas established with the Amazonian corner of their empire, known in Inca terms as Antisuyu. It is argued that the drama “Apu Ollantay” functioned as a social and political device in order to enhance Inca imperial magnitude and project an image of a magnanimous ruler" // El artículo examina la obra quechua "Apu Ollantay" para comprender mejor las relaciones de poder que los incas establecieron con la zona amazónica de su imperio, conocida en términos incaicos como Antisuyu. Se sostiene que el drama "Apu Ollantay" funcionó como un instrumento social y político para realzar la grandeza imperial incaica y proyectar la imagen de un gobernante magnánimo.
