Desde entonces, el CLACPI ha promovido la realización de diferentes eventos, entre ellos 3 festivales internacionales de cine y video : Río de Janeiro [1987], dirigido por Claudia Menezes, Caracas [1992], dirigido por Beatriz Bermúdez, y Lima-Cusco [1992] a cargo de Eduardo Bryce.
