                <text>"Al iniciar una investigación histórica sobre las balsas oceánicas a vela que utilizaban indígenas de costas ecuatorianas y peruanas desde antes de la conquista hispánica, notamos que estás se habrían utilizado hasta la primera mitad del siglo XX, y decidimos buscar el testimonio de alguien que hubiese realizado esas travesías para conocer su experiencia : ¿Cómo eran hechas esas balsas, su gobierno, ruta y propósito de viajes? Tuvimos éxito al conocer un peruano de 94 años, de origen sechurano, que había participado de joven en travesías a Guayaquil.
