Se identifica un prototipo femenino recurrente en las tres obras, la mujer víctima, siempre de origen indígena, la cual está retratada como un personaje “idílico”; sencilla y moralmente pura, especialmente ligada a la familia y a su comarca.  Se arguye que los personajes femeninos del tipo idílico desempeñan un papel simbólico en las novelas, garantizando la supervivencia de las familias indígenas y de la vida tradicional, lo cual significa que cuando esta figura es objeto de abuso, se trata de un ataque no solamente dirigido al como personaje individual, sino a todo lo que representa.</text>
