Este trabajo etnográfico ofrece una breve aproximación al suicidio huaorani en el área de Toñampari, para seguidamente abordar  dos objetivos centrales: 1. describir con detalle el suicidio de Epaa , y 2) reflexionar sobre los factores profundos que ayuden a entender el comportamiento de la protagonista. En las conclusiones se destaca el sentido práctico del chamanismo como explicación, y la posible influencia de la palabra como elemento de contagio.</text>
