                <text>En el universo visual de los wichís, un antiguo pueblo de cazadores-recolectores del Gran Chaco, los animales y las plantas ocupan un lugar destacado. Este artículo describe la historia cultural, las estrategias figurativas, las características plásticas y el contexto de producción, circulación y consumo de las cuatro principales formas visuales wichís: figuras de cuerda, patrones trenzados, tallas de madera y grabados, con el fin de analizar algunas interpretaciones de sus significados. El análisis destaca que los wichís no solo mantienen una estrecha relación —económica y simbólica— y un profundo conocimiento del bosque chaqueño, sino que sus figuras, con forma de animales y plantas, sirven de diversas maneras para construir y reconstruir una forma de pensar, creando relaciones consigo mismos, con los demás y con el mundo.</text>
